Pittsburgh Pirates' Rich Hill and Detroit Tigers' Miguel Cabrera Partake in Hilarious Race to Bag

You know that expression, ' you never know what you'll see when you go to the ballpark?'
That was certainly the case on Wednesday afternoon at Comerica Park in Detroit as 43-year-old Rich Hill and 40-year-old Miguel Cabrera took part in a old-fashioned foot race to the first base bag.
Cabrera hit a grounder to the first baseman, who was shifted towards second. Thus, Hill had to race to cover the bag, narrowly beating Cabrera there for the out.

As for the game, at the time of this posting, the Pirates lead 8-0 in the top of the seventh inning. Hill has gone six innings, allowing just one run and two walks while striking out seven. Cabrera is 0-2.
For the season, Hill is 3-3 with a 3.80 ERA, but he's in line for his fourth win. Lifetime, he's 85-62 in 359 games. He has one of the more well-traveled careers in recent memory, pitching for the Cubs (2005-2008), Orioles (2009), Red Sox (2010-2012), Guardians (2013), Angels (2014), Yankees (2014), Red Sox (2015), Athletics (2016), Dodgers (2016-2019), Twins (2020), Rays (2021), Mets (2021), Red Sox (2022) and Pirates (now).
Cabrera is a sure-fire Hall of Famer. He's a member of the 3,000 hit club already (3,102) and 500 home run club (507). He is a two-time MVP, a Triple Crown winner, a World Series title winner (2003), a four-time batting champion and a 12-time All-Star.
