With its rule changes, baseball has certainly tried to get athleticism back in the game. Thus far, through just over two months of action, the sport has accomplished that.

The sport has also succeeded at highlighting its youth.

Five players currently have 10 or more home runs AND 10 or more stolen bases and each are under the age of 25.

1) Ronald Acuna Jr. of the Atlanta Braves has 28 steals and 12 home runs.

2) Bobby Witt Jr. of the Kansas City Royals has 19 steals and 10 homers.

3) Corbin Carroll of the Arizona Diamondbacks has 18 steals and 11 homers.

4) Julio Rodriguez of the Seattle Mariners has 12 steals and 11 homers.

5) Josh Lowe of the Tampa Bay Rays has 14 steals and 11 homers.

The game is in a healthy place with all of the young talent, and now with the increased athleticism in the sport, they are getting a chance to show it off.

Rodriguez won the American League Rookie of the Year in 2022 while Acuna won the award in the National League in 2018.

Acuna, Carroll and Lowe should be on display all season as each of their teams have excellent chances to make the playoffs this year. Lowe currently plays for the best team in baseball.

This is what baseball hoped would happen when it went through with drastic rule changes before the season, and thus far, mission accomplished.

Sarah Langs of MLB.com took note of the list and said "We are so lucky to get to watch this happen!!!"

Yes, we are.
