From a pure gambling standpoint, all of these answers have some degree of value to them. Young pitchers like Greene and Luzardo could take major jumps in 2024 and provide odds that would pay out well. A guy like E-Rod could be pitching for a very good team and could end up with a good record and good peripherals.
While value is always good, don't ignore the top of the board. Strider is a machine, having led baseball in strikeouts this past season. He went 20-5 in 2023 with a 3.86 ERA and struck out a whopping 281 batters. He's just 25 years old and will pitch all of next season at 25.
It's interesting to see the oddsmakers put Yamamoto so high up in the odds considering he's never pitched in the US before, but his stuff is supposed to be that good.
