The Milwaukee Brewers will play the San Diego Padres Saturday at 4:10 p.m. ET at the Padres' spring training home, Peoria Stadium in Peoria, Arizona.

The Brewers will give the ball to newly acquired Bryse Wilson. Wilson began his career with the Atlanta Braves. He was acquired by the Pittsburgh Pirates at the 2021 trade deadline, along with Ricky DeVito in exchange for Richard Rodriguez. The Brewers acquired Wilson from the Pirates in January in exchange for cash considerations.

Brent Honeywell will take the mound for the Padres, opposite Manaea. A second round pick in the 2014 MLB Draft out of Walters State Community College, Honeywell emerged as one of the top prospects in the Tampa Bay Rays' farm system. Honeywell was traded to A's in November 2021 for cash considerations. Dealing with an elbow injury, Honeywell pitched in the A's farm system in 2022. Honeywell, 27, signed a major league deal with the Padres in January.
