The New York Mets will play the Atlanta Braves Thursday afternoon at 1:05 p.m. ET at the Braves' spring training home, CoolToday Park in North Port, Florida.

The Mets will start prospect Mike Vasil Thursday, facing a dangerous Braves lineup. The Braves selected Vasil in the eighth round of the 2021 MLB Draft out of the University of Virginia.

Jared Shuster will take the mound for the Braves, as he vies for a spot in the Braves' pitching rotation. Shuster has not yet made his Major League debut, but logged a 3.29 ERA over 25 starts between Double-A and Triple-A in 2022. The Braves selected Shuster with the 25th overall pick in the 2020 MLB Draft.
