Toronto Blue Jays' 1B Joey Votto Goes Viral For Hilarious Response to MLB Player Survey

After being voted as one of the friendliest infielders to talk to on a field by his fellow players, new Toronto Blue Jays' first baseman Joey Votto has a new goal in mind...

New Toronto Blue Jays' first baseman Joey Votto is going viral for a hilarious response he gave to the recent results of a players survey.

Votto was voted by his peers as one of the friendliest infielders to talk to on a field, and he put on social media that his goal for 2024 was to be among the unfriendliest players.

It's just another classic response by Votto, who has gone viral several times this offseason because of his deadpan humor.

In addition to his comedy, Votto also was going viral on Sunday because of the home run he hit in his first at-bat as a member of the Blue Jays. After signing a minor league deal with his hometown Jays earlier in March, Votto is doing his best to make the team and extend his career.

A lifetime .294 hitter, Votto is one of the more accomplished players of the last 20 years. He's got a .409 on-base percentage lifetime and has hit 356 career home runs. He also owns a pristine resume with six All-Star appearances, a Gold Glove and an MVP award.

He's led the league in on-base percentage in seven separate seasons. Votto spent 17 years with the Cincinnati Reds and this is his first time playing for another organization.

If he's able to make the Blue Jays roster, he figures to back up Vladimir Guerrero Jr. at first base, get starts at designated hitter and be a late-game bench option.

Votto is also known as a good clubhouse presence who could be a mentor to younger players.

The Blue Jays finished third in the American League East a season ago.
