As the Buffalo Bills get set to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday afternoon in the NFL Playoffs, they have the support the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Jays posted a video on social media sending good luck to the Bills, who are playing Monday in a rescheduled game because of a snowstorm in Western New York.

In the video, Bills quarterback Josh Allen was seen meeting of the Blue Jays players, including outfielder George Springer.

The Blue Jays and Bills are forever linked because of the 2020 and 2021 seasons. Because of COVID travel restrictions in Canada, the Blue Jays spent the 2020 season playing in Buffalo, and then they spent part of the 2021 season there as well before they could return back to Toronto.

As a result, the two cities have formed somewhat of a sports alliance, which makes sense, given that Buffalo has no MLB team, and Toronto has no NFL team.

The Bills also played some games in Toronto during the mid-2010s. There was talk at one point of the Bills moving to Toronto permanently, but it never materialized.

The Bills enter the matchup with the Steelers as 10-point favorites. After disappointing early in the season, the Bills went on a tear late, eventually winning the AFC East.

As for the Blue Jays, they finished third last year in the American League East and advanced back to the AL Playoffs.

They were beaten in the wild card round by the Minnesota Twins and will look to improve in 2024.
