Las Vegas Insider Talks Oakland Athletics Ballpark Deal, Possible Move
The Oakland Athletics may very well be on the move to Las Vegas. It's not official yet, but it's certainly trending that way.
Just yesterday, we learned that the team had reached a $1.5 billion "binding" agreement on a ballpark site.
On this week's edition of 'The Payoff Pitch' podcast, Brady Farkas sits down with Adrian Hernandez of 'The Sporting Tribune' in Las Vegas to talk about the recent developments.
1) How binding does does binding actually mean?
2) Do the people of Las Vegas actually want the Athletics to come and does Vegas actually need the Athletics?
3) What are the possible pitfalls to relocation? Does the legislature need to approve things? Does the general public need to vote on something? Could this be struck down?
4) Is this a leverage play by the A's, and could they actually stay in Oakland?
