It is Wednesday and that means that the newest episode of 'The Payoff Pitch' podcast is now live!

Each week our own Brady Farkas from the Fastball on FanNation team brings you the latest in the world of baseball.

This week, Brady discusses the Oneil Cruz injury for the Pittsburgh Pirates and says that the Pirates have no one to be mad at but themselves.

Also, he looks at Fernando Tatis Jr., who is working his way back from a PED suspension with the San Diego Padres AAA club. Will he be welcomed back to baseball and just how big an impact can he make on the Padres?

Then, current Houston Astros broadcaster and World Series champion Geoff Blum joins the show to talk about the Astros, how good they are, the style with which they play and more, including his own career with the Montreal Expos, winning a title with the 2005 White Sox and who the most famous contact in his phone off.

Next, Brady moves onto some observations from Shohei Ohtani's first two starts that surprised him, and he wonders about one lingering question he still has about the effect of the pitch clock after seeing Chris Sale start against the Detroit Tigers.

Finally, Brady brings you through some of the best and some of the worst of the week, including one Cleveland Guardians player who acted like a Little Leaguer.

Remember, the new podcast episodes come out each Wednesday at 8 a.m. ET.
