Jon Jones is back and the UFC brass couldn't be happier.

After three years of being away from pro MMA competition, Jon "Bones" Jones made his return to challenge Ciryl Gane for the UFC Heavyweight Championship. Not only was Jones successful inside the Octagon, scoring a first-round submission win, he was also a huge hit in the box office.

"Bones" returned to a sellout crowd in the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. While official PPV numbers for UFC 285 weren't released, Endeavor, UFC's parent company, is letting it be known that the buyrate is considered to be a huge success.

During an investor call earlier this week, Endeavor CEO Jason Lublin heaped praise on the success of UFC 285. During the call, Lublin claimed that the card was the highest-grossing commercial PPV within the past 12 months. Lublin also touted the success of UFC 284 and UFC 286.

While Jones' return was a huge financial success for the UFC, many fans are left to wonder how much longer "Bones" will be competing. He has hinted at retirement after his next UFC Heavyweight Championship bout, which is expected to be against Stipe Miocic. UFC President Dana White has also revealed plans to have the fight take place inside Madison Square Garden in New York City.
