VIDEO: Khamzat "Borz" Maaev Stuns With 40-Second KO at BRAVE CF 71

There's another Chechen phenom on the rise , Khamzat Maaev is here to take over.

You read that right. A new Chechen fighter is on the scene, Khamzat "Borz" Maaev is undefeated, and wants "to be the same or even better," than his UFC counterpart Khamzat "Borz" Chimaev.

Maaev extended his professional MMA record to 4-0 at BRAVE Combat Federation 71 (BRAVE FC) on June 19, with a spectacular knockout in just over 40 seconds:

41 seconds is all it takes!

After getting his body kick caught, Maaev unloaded a barrage of hammer fists and rabbit punches to his opponent's head, leading to a TKO finish. That's four straight first round finishes for Maaev, who debuted professionally on Sept 19 2020, the same day Chimaev finished Gerald Meerschaert.

"I want to be the same or even better," Maaev commented on Chimaev in his post-fight interview. "Borz" is sure to be fast-tracked to the top ranks with his comparisons to Chimaev, even BRAVE CF themselves used the comparisons as a marketing tactic leading to the bout:

"I don't pick easy opponents," Maaev explained to BRAVE CF. "I want to fight the worthiest opponents in order to show spectacular fights. People love it. My goal is to fight the best and become the best.

"I'm a basic wrestler, but I can fight [standing up]," Maaev told BRAVE CF. "Every wrestler has punching power. I can knock people out."
