WWE News: Backstage Update On Major WWE Hall of Fame 2024 Inductee

A big update on a major WWE Hall of Fame induction.

There is a backstage update on a major WWE Hall of Fame inductee this year.

Fans were quite pleased to know that "The Wiseman" Paul Heyman will be taking his place in WWE immortality when he is inducted into the Hall during WrestleMania 40 weekend. It makes all the sense in the world, as this year's two-night WrestleMania event will be held at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA.

A new report has surfaced with details surrounding Heyman's induction.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio reported that Heyman is officially the first WWE Hall of Fame inductee chosen by Paul "Triple H" Levesque. This is the first time Levesque is making the decisions on Hall of Fame inductees, per Meltzer.

Dave also noted that Heyman has actually turned down the opportunity to join the Hall of Fame in the past, as he once believed he shouldn't receive the honor while he was active. Meltzer suspected that the Hall being held in Philadelphia, where Heyman made his mark as the driving force behind ECW, played a big part in the "Special Counsel" changing his mind.

Heyman will be inducted inside the Wells Fargo Center on April 5 once the go-home show for WWE SmackDown wraps up. The legendary manager will also play a huge role during WrestleMania this year with The Rock and Roman Reigns being a part of the biggest wrestling show of the year.

A live stream of the Hall of Fame this year will be airing on Peacock at 10 p.m. ET.
