Country Star to Perform at Georgia Southern NIL Fundraiser

Cole Swindell partners with Eagle Nation Collective on NIL benefit concert

Georgia Southern’s collective, the Eagle Nation Collective, has found an entertaining way to raise money for its NIL efforts.

This week, the collective announced the GATA Jam, set for April 20 and featuring country star Cole Swindell. The Jam is set for Eagle Creek in Statesboro, Ga.

Tickets go on sale to the public on Thursday at 10AM ET, with a portion of the proceeds from the event will go to the Eagle National Collective to support Georgia Southern student-athletes.

The Eagles play Division I athletics in the Sun Belt Conference.

Swindell is a Georgia Southern alum and was named the 2015 Academy of Country Music New Artist of the Year. Another country star, Luke Bryan, also went to Georgia Southern.

Of Swindell’s 13 released singles, eight of them have reached No. 1 on the hot country songs and/or country airplay charts. Three other singles have reached the Top 10.

Swindell’s appearance in Statesboro will be his third scheduled appearance of 2024. Before hitting Statesboro, he’ll appear at a military appreciation concert at The Players’ Championship in Ponte Verda Beach, Fla., and the Valspar Championship in Palm Harbor, Fla.

The Eagle Nation Collective was established to support Georgia Southern student-athletes and members get access to fan-only content, experiences, merchandise and more, per its web site. For student-athletes, that can include social media endorsements, appearances, meet and greets, autographs, digital content and more.

The Eagles’ football team is preparing to play in the Myrtle Beach Bowl against Ohio this weekend after going 6-6 in the regular season. The Eagles play 15 different sports, including six men’s sports and nine women’s sports.
