Ohio State's 1870 Society collective is going all in with NIL fundraising before early signing day on December 20. They are hosting a "Signing Day Blitz" for the Buckeye fanbase to rally around and raise more money.

This week they announced, "The Blitz from December 11th to December 17th marks a pivotal moment for The 1870 Society as it endeavors to provide critical support to Ohio State student-athletes. Focused on harnessing the transformative impact of NIL, the campaign aims to empower individuals to contribute to the holistic development of Ohio State Football."

Ohio State is one of the most elite college football programs in the country and they has continued to recruit at a high level under Ryan Day. Still, with how involved NIL is today, growing the collective is highly important if that is going to stay the case for the foreseeable future.

The Buckeyes are likely losing Heisman Trophy finalist Marvin Harrison Jr. to the NFL Draft and starting quarterback Kyle McCord has entered the transfer portal. Day and his coaching staff must fill some pretty big vacancies for next year and the early signing day is the perfect opportunity to start.

"The Buckeye Signing Day Blitz is a testament to the power of community and the impact that collective support can have on the lives of student-athletes. With the backing of Buckeye Nation, we aim to create lasting opportunities for these exceptional individuals," 1870 Society VP Drew Esler said.

The collective's mission is to give Ohio State fans unprecedented, exclusive access to their favorite teams, while creating the kind of earning potential and opportunities that Buckeye athletes deserve and have earned.
