Park Bank Launches NIL Campaign with Seven Wisconsin Athletes

Badger athletes join “College Athletes Talking About Money” campaign to normalize financial conversations

With March Madness upon us, Madison-based Park Bank has launched a new NIL campaign to normalize the challenging and sometimes overwhelming conversations around finances for young people in their local community.

The regional bank has partnered with seven star Wisconsin student-athletes to share their experiences with NIL, finances, taxes and more in Park Bank's “College Athletes Talking About Money” video series. The Badgers taking part include:

Phoebe Bacon, Swimming

Evan Bishop, Cross Country

John Blackwell, Basketball

Jake Chaney, Football

Laila Edwards, Hockey

Devyn Robinson, Volleyball

Peyton Sippy Cross Country

“I loved being able to talk to other athletes and hear their perspectives even if their answer was 'I don’t know' because that answer itself can help so many people," said Robinson, who served as an interviewer in the video series. "Being authentic can help others find the courage to be more open and honest about navigating money."

This campaign was brought to life via ByUs Media - the only athlete-led NIL content studio - who has partnerships with Opendorse, WME and has worked with Deja Kelly, Armando Bacot and other star college athletes.

"At ByUs, we’re so excited to help a regional brand - who doesn’t have an athletic department partnership - harness the power of NIL and meaningful athlete partnerships to help their brand become a trusted partner of the student-athletes themselves," ByUs Co-Founder Olivia Hancock shared.

“I chose to be a part of this campaign because I feel it’s important for young athletes, like myself, who are now in positions where they are receiving large sums of money, to be willing and able to have these conversations about money that will better prepare us for the future”

The Wisconsin men's basketball team earned a No. 5 seed in the South Region of the NCAA Tournament and will face 12th-seeded James Madison in the first round on Friday.
