Providence Friars guard Ticket Gaines will be hoping for a chance to compete in March Madness. With the selection taking place on Sunday, Providence is viewed as a bubble team, perhaps ending their season after losing to Marquette in the Big East Tournament.

For Gaines, he's enjoying his week no matter what happens.

The University of Tennessee and George Mason product has joined StubHub as a partner, a perfect time with the NCAA Tournament starting next week.

Ticket, arguably the best name in college sports, announced the partnership on X.

“I don’t know if you’ve seen StubHub @ me on X last night, but I think it’s about time they found me.

“I’m excited to announce that we will be working together. I’m an official StubHub ticket partner. We’re gonna work together on some cool giveaways and some cool promotions. So, stay tuned.”

It's surprising this deal took so long given the easy name for StubHub to capitalize on. For Gaines, it's the perfect NIL deal for the fifth-year senior.

Gaines has enjoyed success in his college career, averaging 10.2 points in the 2021-22 season for George Mason. In his one season with Providence, the 6'7" Buffalo, New York native has played 32.7 minutes per game and has started 34 games.

While partnering with StubHub is an awesome NIL deal and even better given his name, Gaines has one thing on his mind, which is making the NCAA Tournament.

Did Providence do enough in the regular season to justify that?

The world will find out on Selection Sunday.
