Texas A&M Hosts Education and Financial Literacy Conference in Collaboration With ADVANCE

Texas A&M announces third annual AMPLIFY Conference in collaboration with ADVANCE, providing crucial NIL education to student-athletes.

Texas A&M is hosting its third annual AMPLIFY Conference on Monday in partnership with ADVANCE NIL (ADVANCE).

The conference will provide NIL education to first year student-athletes at the school. Important topics including financial literacy, taxes, decision-making, contracts, and brand building will be covered in the lectures.

Unlike many states, Texas's NIL bill requires "a student athlete participating in an intercollegiate athletic program at the institution to attend a financial literacy and life skills course during the student's first academic year at the institution. The course must be at least five hours in duration and include information on financial aid, debt management, time management, budgeting, and academic resources available to the student athlete."

Texas's NIL bill puts the state at the forefront of NIL education. As more student-athletes monetize their NIL, education in conjunction with hands-on professional support throughout the athletes' career is essential.

"This exciting conference underscores our firm belief that NIL is the new pathway to impart foundational life skills," Managing Partner and Co-Founder of ADVANCE Luke Fedlam said. "Our education model caters to beginners and elites alike. Texas A&M's commitment to showcasing support for student-athletes by instilling skills applicable beyond their sports careers is commendable."

ADVANCE is an industry leader in NIL education. The company has supported more than 30 universities, along with the NFLPA, NCAA, PIAA, MIAA, National Federation of High Schools, Jr. NBA, and several NFL teams. ADVANCE empowers athletes through legal, financial, business, and life skills education.

Education will continue to be a crucial component of NIL in the coming years.
