Texas Quarterback Ewers Announces Return with Panini Card Signature

Longhorns star Quinn Ewers pens letter to fans, signs new Panini card "I'm coming back!"

NIL has found its way into one of the most important NFL Draft decisions of the college football offseason. Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers announced on Thursday that he is returning to Austin. In a video posted across his social media accounts, Ewers pens a letter to Longhorn Nation sharing his intentions to return, culminating in a signature on a new Panini trading card with the message, "I'm coming back!"

With ongoing rumors this season about Ewers NFL Draft intentions, combined with a potential transfer of freshman Arch Manning and a recent last-minute loss to Washington in the College Football Playoff, Texas fans didn't know what to expect heading into the offseason. This announcement certainly clears things up and sets Texas up well to compete in their first SEC season in 2024.

Ewers message to Texas fans was:

"Dear Longhorn Nation, ever since I was a kid I dreamed of playing football at the University of Texas," Ewers said in his Instagram video. "I couldn't be more thankful for all my teammates and coaches, and I'm beyond grateful to be in the position I'm in. God has shown me who I am these past two years that I have been here, and through the ups and downs, these fans and this university have always had my back. With that being said, I'm coming back. Hook 'Em."

Ewers threw for 3,479 yards and 22 touchdowns with only six interceptions this season.

In addition to Panini, Ewers counts HEYDUDE, 7-Eleven, Beats by Dre and Ryl Tea, among many other NIL brand partners.

He is poised to be a Heisman Trophy favorite in 2024 and one of the top NIL earners overall.
