Texas Tech Athletes Part of Collective-Produced Docuseries

Three Red Raiders join series produced by The Matador Club

Texas Tech’s NIL collective is taking a behind-the-scenes approach to support Red Raiders student-athletes.

The collective announced Bigger and Better, a documentary series that will take Texas Tech fans behind-the-scenes with its student-athletes.

To begin the series, Bigger and Better highlights men’s basketball player Joe Toussaint - who transferred to Tech from West Virginia before last season - women’s basketball player Bailey Maupin and quarterback Behren Morton.

The series highlights their daily experiences in academics, athletics and their personal life.

The series can be seen on The Matador Club’s web site and its social media channels.

While the episodes are available to the public, Centennial Club members of the Matador Club get early access to the episodes.

The Matador Club, which is non-profit, raises NIL funds and passes on 100% of the proceeds to more than 200 Texas Tech athletes, according to its web site.

Toussaint is playing for a Red Raider basketball team that is poised to make the NCAA Tournament later this month. At times this season Texas Tech has been ranked in the Associated Press Top 25. He averages 12.7 points, 2.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game.

Maupin is in her second season with the Lady Raiders. She was an All-Big 12 Freshman last season and is averaging 14.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game.

Morton has played three years of college football and in 2023 he threw for 1,754 yards with 15 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He is the Red Raiders’ incumbent starting quarterback for next season as they try to challenge for a Big 12 title under third-year head coach Joey McGuire.
