The final day of qualifying for the Pendleton Round-up Finals was yesterday in Oregon. The headers and heelers along with their horses were hustling trying to stop that clock and make their average times eligible for tomorrow's finals.

There were only five total teams that caught yesterday, had clean runs and were able to turn in times. Jake Smith and Douglas Rich turned in speedy time of 6.3 seconds, making their average 13.2 and securing their spot in the final round.

Brenton Hall and Paden Bray had a fast time going for them but with a broken barrier added 10 seconds on to their time and landing them in fifth place for the round with no chance to move on to the final round.

Results from the Friday performance, Sept. 15

  1. Jake Smith/Douglas Rich 6.3 seconds
  2. Clinton Summers/Jake Long 6.9
  3. Jake Stanley and Bucky Campbell 9.4
  4. Cody Lee/Ryan Rochlitz 11.4
  5. Brenton Hall/Paden Bray 17.0

There were no other qualified rides today.
