Of all the rising stars in the basketball world, perhaps no player holds more potential than Luka Doncic. The Dallas Mavericks guard is capable of leading his team and dominating sneaker shelves in stores all over the globe.

Earlier this month, Jordan Brand unveiled Doncic's second signature sneaker - the Jordan Luka 2. The highly-anticipated hoop shoe has already been released in a futuristic colorway inspired by artificial intelligence.

Now the Jordan Luka 2 is paying tribute to the world's largest streetball tournament. The Quai 54 is an annual outdoor basketball tournament played under the shadows of the Eifel Tower in Paris, France. Below is what fans must know about the Jordan Luka 2 "Q54".

The Jordan Luka 2 "Q54" was first released in Europe on June 23 before enjoying a global release on July 8. Athletes and fans in North America can purchase the shoes for $130 in adult sizes on the Nike website.

The colorway celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Quai 54 tournament while also paying homage to Pan-Africanism with a green, red, and black color scheme. The mesmerizing upper features a pattern of double x’s, a nod to the French tournament’s two decades of excellence.

The details on the Jordan Luka 2 "Q54" are large and small. The Quai 54 logo and Doncic's signature logo appear on the tongues. Meanwhile, the heels display "03" and "23," which is another tribute to the tournament's legendary 20-year run.

In addition to looking good, the Jordan Luka 2 is capable of containing one of the best players in the NBA. Doncic emphasized balance during the design process, and Jordan Brand delivered.

The Formula 23 foam is surrounded by a firm foam carrier. A soft foam wedge on the medial side helps the foot sink in slightly so it sits at a proper angle for pushing off the court.

Added stability is provided by a sturdy cage that wraps around the entire upper for 360-degree connected support. Lastly, an updated IsoPlate raises the lateral sidewall to keep players balanced during lateral changes of direction.

Doncic's first signature sneaker was a revelation, and all of the early reviews of the Jordan Luka 2 are equally positive. Now is an excellent time to invest in a pair of hoop shoes that honors culture and basketball history. Stay tuned to FanNation Kicks for all your footwear coverage.
