The past few months have been a whirlwind in the women's basketball world, and it's about to get even more exciting. With the new WNBA season tipping off tonight, three players just signed new sneaker deals.

This morning, Under Armour, announced the signings of Diamond Miller, Laeticia Amihere, and Marina Mabrey. The splashy signings bolster Under Armour's already quickly-growing roster of women athletes.

“Under Armour continues to invest with women’s sports and is deepening this commitment by teaming up with and uplifting the voices of female athletes that align with our values and goals to grow the game," said Sean Eggert, SVP of Global Sports Marketing at Under Armour.

"By welcoming Diamond, Laeticia, and Marina to our roster, we feel confident we’ll be able to continue making a lasting impact not only in women’s basketball, but across women’s sports globally.”

All the grueling practices, early morning workouts, and late-night film sessions finally paid off for Diamond Miller when the Minnesota Lynx selected her with the second overall pick in the 2023 WNBA Draft.

It was never a question that Miller was destined for greatness. She was raised in a close-knit family of basketball players and established herself as the face of Maryland women’s basketball over the last four years.

Fresh off her attendance at the Kelsey Plum Dawg Camp, Diamond is looking forward to crushing it on the court with Minnesota and teaming up with UA to give girls coming up in the sport the resources they need to succeed.

In a press release, Miller said, “It means so much to me to partner with Under Armour and to Protect This House. There’s something special happening in women’s sports right now, and it’s clear to see that UA is all in to help create change. As a female athlete with a passion for growing the game, this partnership was right up my alley.”

Amihere is considered the ultimate team player by fellow teammates and fans alike and was a key defensive asset and one of the most versatile athletes in the NCAA this past season.

She will continue to show off her raw athleticism on the court as she competes for the Atlanta Dream and Team Canada. A natural-born leader, Amihere is passionate about using her platform to impact the lives of young girls, and now by teaming up with Under Armour, the sky’s the limit.
