In 2022, Kiki Rice made sneaker history by becoming the first-ever NIL athlete for Jordan Brand. In addition to sporting rare Jumpman gear, the UCLA Bruins guard has been chosen to debut highly anticipated sneakers on multiple occasions.

During last spring's NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament, Rice made headlines by debuting the unreleased Air Jordan 38. Rice is at it again this season, except with a player-exclusive colorway inspired by her hometown.

In today's game against the Stanford Cardinal, Rice is lacing up the Air Jordan 38 Low in the 'Cherry Blossom' colorway. Below is a detailed look at the artistic hoop shoes and everything fans must know about them.

Dubbed the Air Jordan 38 Low 'Cherry Blossom,' the colorway is inspired by the cherry blossoms that bloom annually in Rice's hometown of Washington, D.C. A cherry blossom graphic is featured on the tongue top, while a floral pattern fills the sock liner.

The gradient blends of pink and blue featured throughout the shoe are a nod to the cherry blossoms blooming with the backdrop of D.C.'s magnificent blue skies. "KIKI" appears on the back left heel, while the embroidered Jumpman logo is featured on the right heel.

Each UCLA women's basketball player and member of the staff will eventually receive a pair as well. However, this colorway is unlikely ever to get released to the public. The silver lining is online shoppers can choose between several styles of the Air Jordan 38 on the Nike website.

Rice is a phenom on and off the court. With the Bruins gearing up for another run this March, fans should expect the D.C. native to rock more heat on the hardwood. Stay locked into FanNationKicks.com for all your footwear news from the sports world.
