Look: Madison Academy earns top seed in 3A Region 7 AHSAA playoffs with win over Westminster Christian

The Alabama high school football playoffs start next week

MADISON, Alabama — Ken Cherry rushed for 166 yards and four touchdowns to lead Madison Academy to a 49-14 win over Westminster Christian on Friday night. 

Madison Academy (8-2) is the top seed in the AHSAA playoffs from 3A, Region 7. They will host Phil Campbell in the first round of the playoffs next week. 

Westminster (6-4) travels to West Morgan in the 4A playoffs.

Madison Academy quarterback Carson Creehan threw for 207 yards and a touchdown - a 76-yard pass to Mario Brewer.
