The top performances from Week 9, plus rankings and this week's games in Arkansas prep 8-man football

Many sanctioned playoff seedings have already been decided, but the final week of the regular season will set everything in stone, while the club division will wrap up the 2023 season with the championship and fifth-place games. 

See who put on the best performances from Week 9, along with updated rankings from each division and all of the games for Week 10 below.

TOP PERFORMERS

Cash Arnhart, Izard County Consolidated

Arnhart hauled in three touchdowns in ICC's 58-56 loss to Brinkley.

Wyatt Buchanan, Izard County Consolidated

The junior passed for five touchdowns in ICC's 58-56 loss to Brinkley, giving him 38 on the season. 

Brayden Buss, Fountain Lake

The senior rushed 11 times for 109 yards in Fountain Lake's 44-36 win over Marshall.

Peyton Cartwright, Corning

The junior collected 11 total tackles, three for loss with a sack, and forced a fumble in Corning's 38-30 win over Subiaco Academy in the club semifinals.

Jakob Cox, Corning

The junior compiled 205 all-purpose yards, most notably in the through the air with 7 catches for 110 yards and three scores, in Corning's 38-30 win over Subiaco Academy in the club semifinals. Cox also led the Bobcats defensively with 17 tackles, while also recovering a fumble, batting down a pass and intercepting another one. 

Caleb Cowell, Subiaco Academy

The senior hauled in two catches, both of which resulted in touchdowns, for 70 yards in Subiaco's 38-30 loss to Corning. Cowell also collect five total tackles, one for loss, on defense. 

Abram Davis, Fountain Lake

The senior rushed for 130 yards and three touchdowns in Fountain Lake's 44-36 win over Marshall, as well as hauled in seven passes for 115 yards and two scores. 

Allen Davis, Brinkley

Davis compiled 171 yards of offense (106 rushing, 65 receiving) and three total touchdowns in Brinkley's 58-56 win over Izard County Consolidated.

Racyn Dunnagan, Marshall

The senior scored on three of his 10 carries and totaled 84 yards of offense in Marshall's 44-36 loss to Fountain Lake. 

Anthony Gehrig, Subiaco Academy

The senior compiled over 100 yards of offense and passed for a touchdown in Subiaco's 38-30 loss to Corning, as well as collected 12 tackles and intercepted two passes on defense. 

Caden George, Fountain Lake

George passed for 190 yards and three touchdowns in Fountain Lake's 44-36 win over Marshall.

Isaiah Gray, Parkers Chapel 

Gray compiled 97 total yards on four touches and found the end zone twice in Parkers Chapel's 44-8 win over Cedar Ridge.

Daniel Griffith, Marshall

Griffith collected 12 total tackles in Marshall's 44-36 loss to Fountain Lake.

Dakylan Hampton, Parkers Chapel 

The sophomore compiled 88 total yards on six touches and found the end zone twice in Parkers Chapel's 44-8 win over Cedar Ridge.

Adam Harris, Marshall

Harris led the Bobcats with 13 total tackles in Marshall's 44-36 loss to Fountain Lake, and also returned an interception 35 yards for a score.

Mitchell Hicks, Brinkley 

The senior compiled 337 yards of offense (200 passing, 137 rushing) and seven total touchdowns in Brinkley's 58-56 win over Izard County Consolidated. Hicks also snagged the game-winning interception.

JT Ingram, Parkers Chapel

The sophomore completed all four of his pass attempts for 125 yards and two touchdowns, while also adding a score on the ground, in Parkers Chapel's 44-8 win over Cedar Ridge. 

Brody Koch, Subiaco Academy

The senior rushed for 124 yards and scored two touchdowns in Subiaco's 38-30 loss to Corning. Koch also led the Trojans with 19 total tackles, two for loss, as well as averaged 41 yards per punt with two downed inside the 20-yard line. 

Caleb McClure, Genoa Central

The senior eclipsed 1,000 rushing yards for the season following a 165-yard performance in Genoa Central's 52-6 win over Rose Bud, along with four scores on the ground. 

Germyren McHenry, Strong

The junior rushed for 103 yards and two touchdowns on just eight carries in Strong's 28-12 win over Mountain Pine. 

Kaiden McHenry, Strong

The junior rushed for 148 yards and two touchdowns in Strong's 28-12 win over Mountain Pine.

Jamarion Mitchell, Strong

Mitchell led the Bulldogs with nine total tackles in Strong's 28-12 win over Mountain Pine.

Camarion Raino, Subiaco Academy

The senior logged 12 total tackles, one for loss, in Subiaco's 38-30 loss to Corning. 

Levi Rorie, Mountain View

The senior rushed 10 times for 71 yards and a touchdown in Mountain View's 58-6 win over Cutter-Morning Star in the club semifinals.

Chad Russell, Mountain View

The senior hauled in two catches, both of which resulted in touchdowns, for 71 yards in Mountain View's 58-6 win over Cutter-Morning Star in the club semifinals.

Drew Shelton, Mountain View

The senior completed all seven of his pass attempts for 224 yards and four touchdowns in Mountain View's 58-6 win over Cutter-Morning Star in the club semifinals. Shelton added 55 yards and two scores on the ground and also logged 10 tackles as well as returned an interception for a touchdown. 

Seth Smith, Corning

The junior completed 13-of-21 passes for 223 yards and scored five total touchdowns in Corning's 38-30 win over Subiaco Academy in the club semifinals.

Rush Sullivan, Mountain View

The junior led the 'Jackets with 15 total tackles, including a sack, in Mountain View's 58-6 win over Cutter-Morning Star in the club semifinals. 

Garrett Weatherford, Woodlawn

Weatherford rushed for 140 yards and two touchdowns on just 12 attempts in Woodlawn's 56-12 win over Marvell-Elaine. 

Lukus Whitworth, Corning

The junior logged 11 total tackles, including two sacks, and deflected a pass in Corning's 38-30 win over Subiaco Academy in the club semifinals.

Chris Williams, Brinkley

The sophomore hauled in seven catches for 89 yards and two touchdowns in Brinkley's 58-56 win over Izard County Consolidated.

Jakiem Woods, Strong

The junior collected 8.5 total tackles in Strong's 28-12 win over Mountain Pine.

Sanctioned Division Rankings

1. Rector (7-0, 4-0)

Like last week, the Cougars are idle again as they continue prepping and resting for the postseason. 

2. Strong (8-0, 6-0)

The Bulldogs wrapped up the South conference championship and their second undefeated regular season in the past three years. Strong' defense held Mountain Pine to just 180 total yards of offense, while the Bulldogs compiled over 300 yards of their own, 251 of those on the ground.

3. Brinkley (5-3, 3-2)

The Tigers overcame a ten-point halftime deficit and locked up the North No. 2 seed after surviving Izard County Consolidated in a high-scoring, two-point victory thanks to a game-sealing interception. The win was their third in the past four contests. 

4. Mountain Pine (5-3, 4-1)

With their featured back Zyon Wyatt out, the Red Devils struggled to get anything going offensively against No. 2 Strong as they accumulated just 180 yards of total offense. 

5. Spring Hill (6-3, 4-2)

The Bears were idle. They finish out the regular season at Woodlawn on Friday.
