SEMINOLE, Fla.- It's the start of official high school baseball games throughout the state of Florida and if you went to Seminole High School Monday night, you caught a good matchup and saw plenty of MLB scouts.

The Dunedin Falcons took on the Mitchell Mustangs at the Steve Georgiadis Memorial Tournament at Seminole High School for the night cap and the two clubs didn’t disappoint.

Dunedin blanked No. 7 Mitchell 3-0 to start off the 2023 season 1-0 as pro scouts stood on hand. Though potential MLB Draft first round pick Aidan Miller did not play for Mitchell, Dunedin displayed why they should be in the conversation as one of the state’s best.

Falcons’ starting pitcher Trey Beard pitched five strong innings, striking out 11 batters in the process. On Mitchell’s side, Trevor Harrison had a solid outing as well, fanning five in the loss.

SBLive Sports Florida photographer Alex Walworth was on hand for the game and took 60 photos for our photo gallery of the Steve Georgiadis Memorial Tournament contest between Dunedin and Mitchell. Take a look at the photos from Monday night's season opening game.
