Shamar Rigby, 3-star wide receiver, commits to Purdue over Iowa State, Kentucky & Pitt

Lakewood (Florida) three-star wide receiver Shamar Rigby made his commitment on Tuesday night to the Boliermakers

ST. PETERSBURG, FLORIDA- There’s been a long line of great wide receivers that have come from Lakewood High School. 

Ernest Givins, Ryan Davis, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and now Shamar Rigby is potentially the next great in line. Late on Tuesday night, he made it be known where he will play collegiately. 

Lakewood (Florida) junior wide receiver Shamar Rigby announced Tuesday night via Twitter that he is committing to the Boilermakers. The wide receiver is a 3-star rated prospect according to 247Sports and also had offers on the table from Bethune-Cookman, Iowa State, Kentucky and Pitt. 

Rigby in the 2022 season caught 42 passes for 632 yards and scored eight touchdowns for the Spartans. The sure-handed wide receiver also had offers from Cincinnati, Duke, Louisville, Minnesota, Nebraska, Temple, Toledo, USF and West Virginia.
