Malachi ‘Bubba’ Lewis, 2025 QB, transfers from Montclair (New Jersey) to Homestead (Florida)

If you thought the Homestead Broncos’ window of opportunity to win a state championship was closing, well think again.
According to Rivals.com’s Frank Tucker, 2025 quarterback Malachi ‘Bubba’ Lewis is transferring from Montclair (New Jersey) down to Homestead in sunny South Florida.
Lewis comes leaves the Garden State for the Sunshine State and looks to be heir apparent to Joshua Townsend, who led the Broncos to back-to-back state championship appearances in Class 3M.
Last season for the Mounties, the 6-foot-4, 195-pound quarterback compiled 2,433 all-purpose yards and accounted for 31 touchdowns (26 passing, five rushing).
The transfer helps solidify that the Broncos’ passing attack will remain one of the better ones in Dade County, with wide receiver Cortez Mills back in the fold. Mills is a 4-star prospect and last season hauled in 53 passes for 1,136 yards and two touchdowns.
