WINTER PARK, FLORIDA – Members of the Winter Park football community were stunned to receive a recorded message from school principal Matthew Arnold, on Friday, informing them that one of the school's assistant football coaches had been arrested for what Arnold defined as "inappropriate conduct unrelated to the school."

The brief audio message, which was obtained by SBLive Sports Florida, did not identify the coach in question. In a published report by WESH 2 television, however, the coach was identified as Terrell Myron Foy, as 32-year old employee at Blankner School in Central Orlando. He was arrested by the Orlando Police Department and charged with lewd or lascivious conduct and offenses against students by authority figures. The victim was said to be a 13-year old student at Blankner School.

"I want to make you aware that today one of the assistant coaches was arrested after allegations of inappropriate conduct unrelated to our school were reported," said Arnold in the message. "While I am not able to discuss employee matters, I can tell you this individual will not be returning to campus. Please be assured the safety of our students and staff is always my top priority."

This is not the first time a Winter Park coach has run into conflict with law enforcement. In 2014, then Winter Park girls basketball coach Ashley Sinclair Brown was arrest on charges of lewd or lascivious molestation on a victim less than 16, lewd or lascivious conduct by a person 18 years or older, transmission of material harmful to minors, contributing to the delinquency of a child and attempted extortion.

Brown resigned his coaching post shortly after being arrested and the charges against him were dropped when he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery and was sentenced to probation.

At that time, then Winter Park principal Tim Smith also informed the school community via a recorded message.

This is a developing story and will be updated as events warrant.
