2018 IN REVIEW

Overall record: 4-7, (2-3 in the Hacienda League, 4th place). Los Altos lost 48-7 to Aquinas in the first round of the Division 5 playoffs.

HEAD COACH

Travis Brown is entering his second season as the head coach at Los Altos.

TOP PLAYERS

RB/WR/SS Rene Zaldivar – 6’0”, 190, Sr.

C/DL Gabriel Navarro – 5’11”, Sr.

WR/CB Zedekiah Rodriguez – 5’10”, 155, Jr.

OUTLOOK

While last season’s 4-7 record doesn’t make Los Altos seem threatening, it would be dangerous to sleep on them. They’re moving down from challenging Division 5, where they still made the playoffs. And now, they’re returning some serious talent and could be poised to make a big leap.

Hacienda League Offensive Player of the Year Rene Zaldivar (RB) is back for his senior year. Joining him is First Team All-League center Gabriel Navarro, and leading receiver Zedekiah Rodriguez. And on defense? Zaldivar was First Team All-League as a strong safety and Rodriguez was one of the Conquerors’ top defenders at cornerback.

Don’t be surprised to see the Conquerors making some noise in the D-6 playoffs this year.
