OUTLOOK
Lots of new faces in Forks this year. Head coach Trevor Highfield will step into his first year for the Spartans as 13 seniors depart from last year’s team which finished 4th in league — 10 of whom were all-league selections. Among those not returning are two big-time offensive weapons in Tristan Pisani and Brett Moody, who scored a majority of the points for the Spartans in 2018. The offense will certainly have a lot of holes to fill, and the same goes for the defense. They lose all-league selections at each major defensive position - DL, LB, and DB - as well as invaluable experience and leadership. The Spartans start from the ground-up in the most literal sense, as they return one senior, Trey Basinger, a 6-foot-1 junior O-lineman and linebacker. It will be a completely different look from Forks this year, who will try to remain afloat in a very competitive Evergreen Conference.
