THREE TO SEE
Peter Costelli QB
Santa Margarita transfer. True dual-threat quarterback. Will
surprise opposing teams with his speed.
Mavin Anderson WR
National recruit in the 2021 class. Had 19 catches for 272 yards and two TDs last season. He’ll have a much bigger role in the offense in 2019.
Easton Mascarenas, LB
Made 91 tackles last season. Holds scholarship offers from Arizona State and Oregon State.
OUTLOOK
Mission Viejo should be a Division I playoff team in 2019. Chad Johnson is a fantastic offensive mind and will work wonders with Peter Costelli, if the quarterback can stay healthy.
The Diablos haven’t forgotten about last season’s loss to San Clemente that cost them the South Coast League title. They want revenge on October 25.
