THREE TO SEE
Kyle Vassau, linebacker
In a strong year for linebackers, he’s among the best in the
county.
Cole Wright, wide receiver
Averaged 21.1 yards per catch and had 7 receiving touchdowns
for the Lancers in 2018.
Coleby Whillock, linebacker
Caught 4 touchdown passes last season while also playing linebacker.
OUTLOOK
Carlsbad lost Luke Armstrong and his 13 touchdowns to graduation. They’ll look for Mazlo Norwood to seize the running back spot.
Aiden Sayin steps in for his varsity debut at quarterback, but will have veteran pass catchers in Wright, Vella, and Whillock to rely on.
The Lancers return the most talent in what should be an extremely deep and very competitive Avocado League.
