Derek Bowechop, linebacker

Nolan Hughes, linebacker
Has a nose for the quarterback, and will shift to defensive end, too
OUTLOOK
The good news -- Port Angeles reached the postseason last year for the first time since 2011.
The bad news -- the Roughriders graduated 16 seniors, and will likely start as many as four sophomores on offense and defense during the upcoming season.
If the Roughriders can find a dependable quarterback -- that is a big if -- they have enough skill position players on offense, led by Bowen, to put pressure on defenses.
Whoever emerges with the job won't be asked to pass downfield much anyway. The offense will likely utilize a lot of short-route and fly-sweep concepts to get the football in the hands of its talented group of wide receivers.
