Every week during the 2020 football season, SBLive Arkansas will rank the top high school football teams in every classification.

Here are the 4A rankings as compiled by SBLive reporters Connor Morrissette and Lance Smith.

1. Arkadelphia (4-0)

Arguably the top team in 4A actually got to take the field last week for the first time in five weeks. It's been a challenging time, but the Badgers are back after the biggest gap any playoff contender in the state has had to face this season — and they're back in the wins column, as they have been all season. Arkadelphia cruised past Harmony Grove and now needs to be in peak form against a big-time contender in Ashdown.

2. Shiloh Christian (4-1)

The Saints have played only five games themselves, but their stock is rising on a weekly basis as they've strung together three consecutive wins. This week could bring their biggest in-state test yet in unbeaten Elkins.

3. Ashdown (6-1)

Division 4A is so deep that there are unbeaten playoff contenders that haven't even cracked our top five. But knocking off previously No. 2 Nashville the week after Nashville beat reigning champion Joe T. Robinson? That'll vault you up the list, especially after a 5-1 start. This week the Panthers tangle with another elite 4A team — No. 1 Arkadelphia.

4. Nashville (4-2)

It was an anticlimactic week for the Scrappers, losing the week after beating the reigning state champion. As strong a team as Ashdown is, the Panthers were coming off a tough loss against Malvern, so Nashville seemed likely to carry that momentum. But it's safe to say Nashville is as clear a championship threat as anyone at this point, and that's what counts. Look for the Scrappers to rebound this week against winless Harmony Grove (Benton).

5. Robinson (4-3)

Speaking of momentum, the Senators had it going against them last week, coming off the Nashville loss against a Malvern team which had just defeated Ashdown soundly. But Robinson returned to top form to beat the Leopards by 22. This week brings Bauxite, which is below .500 but potent.

HONORABLE MENTION

Stuttgart, Rivercrest, Malvern, Elkins, Prairie Grove, Pocahontas, Central Arkansas Christian, Warren
