Santa Cruz RB Steve Calvin voted WaFd Bank Arizona High School Athlete of the Week

Congratulations to Santa Cruz running back Steve Calvin for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Arizona High School Athlete of the Week!
Calvin had a 47-yard touchdown run and a 67-yard punt return for a score for the Dust Devils in a 27-20 win over St. Johns.
Calvin received 56.39% of the vote, beating out Cactus RB Aki Pulu, who finished with 30.35%. Yuma Catholic RB/WR Devon Black finished third with 5.71% and Santa Cruz RB Hunter Ogle was fourth with 3.52%. There were more than 12,000 votes tallied this week!

Aki Pulu, Cactus RB: Pulu, the reigning SBLive Arizona player of the week, led Cactus to another playoff victory with three rushing touchdowns in a 35-13 defeat of Casa Grande.
Tommy Arnold, Sunrise Mountain RB: Arnold ran for 183 yards and three touchdowns in a 28-3 win over Campo Verde to get Sunrise Mountain to its first state title game.
Riales Hopper, Mesquite DB: Hopper had two interceptions in the Wildcats’ 19-16 victory over American Leadership Academy-Queen Creek.
Brayten Silbor, Chaparral QB: Silbor threw for four touchdowns in a 31-14 win over Sandra Day O’Connor.
Max Minor, Chaparral WR: Minor caught the first three of Silbor’s touchdown passes.
Kai Millner, Higley QB: The MVP of the inaugural Chilly Bowl, Millner threw for three touchdowns and ran for two more in a 50-14 win over Mountain Ridge.
Rodney Clemente, Hamilton RB: In a 58-14 rout of Salpointe Catholic in which Hamilton’s production was spread evenly, Clemente ran for 50-yard and 35-yard touchdowns in the first quarter. Noah Schmidt also ran for two touchdowns for the Huskies.
Eli Sanders, Chandler RB: Sanders ran for four touchdowns in a 35-34 overtime win against Liberty.
Richard Stallworth, Yuma Catholic QB:Stallworth completed 23 of 30 passes for 233 yards and five touchdowns in a 36-20 win over Pusch Ridge Christian.
Devon Black, Yuma Catholic RB/WR: Black caught three touchdowns and rushed for 65 yards in the Shamrocks’ victory. Austin Rush caught Yuma Catholic’s other two touchdowns.
Hunter Ogle, Santa Cruz RB: Ogle ran for 186 yards and two touchdowns in a 27-20 victory over St. Johns.
Jimmy Lerblance, Benson DB: Lerblance had two interceptions in a 34-27 win over Arizona Lutheran.
Camden Brimhall, Snowflake RB: Brimhall ran for two touchdowns in a 28-27 overtime win against ALA-Gilbert North.
