Noah Schmidt, Hamilton RB

Schmidt also went for four touchdowns (three rushing, one receiving) before exiting the blowout victory early.

Jacob Cisneros, Boulder Creek RB

Cisneros ran for three touchdowns and had a 95-yard kickoff-return touchdown in a 46-0 blowout of Skyline.

Will Galvan, Cactus QB

Galvan ran for three touchdowns in the first half, and he threw for another in the second half against Peoria. Cactus put the game away early behind Galvan's efforts and won 43-0.

Payton Barlow, Queen Creek RB/CB

Barlow came up big on both sides in a 37-6 statement win against Williams Field. He caught a touchdown pass and picked up yardage on the ground on offense, and he recorded two interceptions on defense.

Devin Brown, Queen Creek QB

Brown had three touchdown passes in the first half to help Queen Creek build an insurmountable lead.

James Scott, Centennial RB

On a night Centennial received significant contributions from three different running backs, Scott still shined. He helped propel the Coyotes to a 37-0 victory over Mountain Pointe with two rushing touchdowns and more than 120 rushing yards.

Ashton Zacher, Canyon View QB

Zacher threw for both of Canyon View's touchdowns in a 17-12 victory over Maricopa. It was 5A Canyon View's first varsity win in program history.

John Mendoza, Mesa QB

Mendoza led Mesa to a 21-14 victory over Gilbert with two passing touchdowns, 159 passing yards and 52 rushing yards.

Rudy Gonzalez, Deer Valley QB

Gonzalez propelled Deer Valley to a 38-13 victory over Washington with three passing touchdowns, 196 passing yards on 70 percent completion and 44 rushing yards.

Ashton Hill, Deer Valley RB/LB

Hill also came up big for the Skyhawks, rushing for 124 yards and two touchdowns and contributing to a strong defensive effort.

Kaden Majercak, Valley Christian RB

Majercak led the Trojans to a 21-7 win over Phoenix Christian with 133 rushing yards (more than 10 yards per carry), a rushing touchdown and 33 receiving yards.

Darrion Dalton, Saguaro DT

One of numerous Sabercats defenders who were dominant in a shutout win over Brophy Prep, Dalton went for nine tackles, five of which were for loss.

Dante Smith, Desert Ridge G/DT

Already one of the state's top O-linemen, Smith recorded two interceptions from the defensive line in a 34-14 victory over Mountain Ridge.

Matthew McClelland, Arete Prep QB

While they lost by one point to Glendale Prep, the Chargers did get 57 points on the board thanks to an insane effort from McClelland. He went for seven total touchdowns on 266 passing yards and 288 rushing yards. That's 554 total yards.

Hunter Ogle, Santa Cruz Valley RB

After Ogle went for 241 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns in Week 1, it seemed unlikely he'd top himself in the next game. But not so fast — he upped his game for 254 yards and four touchdowns in Week 2 in a 42-18 win over Coolidge.

Willy Roberts, Mountain View QB

Roberts led the Toros to a 42-0 blowout of Dobson with four touchdowns and 206 yards in just one half.

Logan Hubler, American Leadership Academy QB

Hubler went off in a lopsided win against Buckeye, totaling 316 yards and six touchdowns and completing 20 of 23 passes.

Zach Hammett, River Valley RB

Hammett feasted on offense and special teams in a 56-0 crushing of Kingman Academy. He rushed for 75 yards and three touchdowns on just six carries, and he got two touchdowns and 145 yards as a punt returner.

Gage Lentz, Veritas Prep QB/SS

Lentz's combination of efficiency at quarterback and impact on defense was unmatched in Week 2. On offense, he threw for five touchdowns and 133 yards on just nine attempts — all of which he completed. That's in addition to running for 68 yards and a score on three carries. On defense, he made four tackles and two tackles for loss, forced a fumble and recovered a fumble. He also blocked a punt.
