SBLive 5A Arkansas Power Rankings: No. 1 Pulaski Academy and No. 2 Wynne now 8-0

Every week during the 2020 football season, SBLive Arkansas will rank the top high school football teams in every classification.
Here are the 5A rankings as compiled by SBLive reporters Connor Morrissette and Lance Smith.
1. Pulaski Academy (8-0)
The Bruins just knocked off a major rival and the team they beat to win the 5A championship last season — Little Rock Christian Academy — by 32 points. Pulaski Academy is still unbeaten and its odds of repeating as champion look as good as, if not better than, ever. With struggling teams in Beebe and Jacksonville on deck, the Bruins are almost a lock to complete an undefeated regular season.
2. Wynne (8-0)
Don't forget, Pulaski Academy isn't the only 8-0 team in 5A. The Yellowjackets also are very likely to finish the regular season unbeaten with two struggling squads remaining in Forrest City and Nettleton.
3. LR Christian (5-2)
Little Rock Christian Academy did not get anything near the result it wanted against Pulaski Academy, but it did play the Bruins even for most of the game after quickly falling into a 32-0 deficit. The Warriors know how much they'll need to improve in the next few weeks to avenge last season's final loss. They'll be heavily favored against Jacksonville this week.
4. Harrison (7-1)
Last week's double-overtime victory against Morrilton wasn't as convincing as the Goblins would have liked, but Morrilton is more dangerous than its 4-3 record would suggest. Harrison likely will run its win streak to six this week against Clarksville.
5. Arkansas (Texarkana) (4-0)
The Razorbacks have gone more than two weeks without playing a game. They hope that changes this week against 1-6 Hope.
