Congratulations to Natchez wide receiver Mike Williams for being voted SBLive’s Mississippi High School Athlete of the Week!

Williams had 7 catches for 181 yards and 2 touchdowns along with an 83-yard kickoff return for a TD in the Bulldogs’ 41-38 loss to Brookhaven

Williams received 33.65% of the vote, beating out Enterprise RB Kristian Milsap who finished with 23.2%. South Panola WR Cameron Wright finished third with5.47% and Tupelo RB Kyson Brown was fourth with 4.3%

Here are the other athletes who were nominated for Oct. 26-Nov. 1

Kabe Barnett, Oak Grove QB: Barnett was simply sensational against the Pearl Pirates, who had no defense for him or his many weapons. Barnett completed 11 of 18 passes for 276 yards and five touchdown passes, and he ran three times for 33 yards and another TD in Oak Grove’s 47-7 win.

Omar Scott, Choctaw County RB: Scott had over 100 yards rushing and four touchdowns at halftime of Choctaw County’s 55-14 win over Hatley.

Blake Gunter, Madison Central TE: Gunter had four catches for 124 yards and a touchdown in Madison Central’s 38-6 win over Germantown.

Vic Sutton, Madison Central QB: Sutton was 9-of-14 passing for 174 yards with a touchdown and rushed for 33 yards with two touchdowns to lead Madison Central to a 38-6 win over Germantown.

Ozarrio Smith, Brandon RB: Smith had 10 carries for 158 yards and two touchdowns in Brandon’s 42-21 upset of Northwest Rankin.

Nathaniel Blount, Brandon RB: Just a freshman, Blount ran for 117 yards in Brandon’s 42-21 upset of Northwest Rankin.

Dicenzo Miller Jr., Kemper County RB:Dicenzo Miller Jr. had 26 carries for 264 yards and two touchdowns and added three receptions for 96 yards and another TD in Kemper County’s 48-46 win over Forest to clinch the division championship.

Jayden Reed, Lafayette RB: Jayden Reed rushed 35 times for 195 yards, including the go-ahead touchdown on a fourth-and-one play to lift Lafayette to a 28-14 win over Columbus.

C.J. Hill, New Albany RB: Hill rushed 18 times for 207 yards and two touchdowns to lead New Albany to a 42-0 win over Ripley.

Kenyon Clay, Union QB: Union quarterback Kenyon Clay scored three touchdowns and passed for another as the Yellowjackets defeated Philadelphia 40-21 Friday night.

Cameron Wright, South Panola WR: Wright finished the night with six catches for 131 yards and two touchdowns to lead South Panola to a thrilling 36-35 double-overtime win over Warren Central.

Tevin Bell, Warren Central CB: Bell had several big pass breakups and came up with a huge interception in Warren Central’s 36-35 loss to South Panola.

Tay Simms, Morton CB: Simms had 20 carriers for 298 yards and 4 TDs as well as 2 receptions for 74 yards and 1 TD in Morton’s 44-7 win over Pelahatchie. 

David Hubbard, South Panola QB: Hubbard completed 14 of 23 passes for 243 yards with 3 TDs and one interception in a 36-35 win against Warren Central. 

Tyrell Pollard, Oak Grove WR: Tyrell Pollard, Oak Grove WRSpeedy junior Tyrell Pollard caught four passes for 112 yards and three touchdowns — all in the first quarter — of Oak Grove’s 47-7 win over Pearl.

Keilon Parnell, Pascagoula QB: Parnell was the star of the game for Pascagoula, hitting on 10-of-13 passes for 256 yards and four touchdowns. He also ran the ball six times for 31 yards and a touchdown to lead the Panthers to a 42-35 upset of Picayune on Saturday.

Jaylan Thompson, Pascagoula WR: Thompson caught three passes, all touchdowns, for 138 yards in Pascagoula’s 42-35 upset of Picayune on Saturday.

Austin Samples, Picayune RB: Samples rushed for 202 yards and a score on 18 carries. He also caught two passes for 54 yards in Picayune’s 42-35 loss to Pascagoula on Saturday.

Jay Hampton, Amory WR: Hampton hauled in five catches for 145 yards and three touchdowns in Amory’s 31-13 win over Belmont. 

Kyson Brown, Tupelo RB: Brown scored three touchdowns and rushed for more than 175 yards to lead Tupelo to a 34-13 win over Horn Lake.

Chris Watson, St. Joseph QB: Watson had five rushing touchdowns and one passing TD to lead St. Joseph to a 41-28 win over Riverside.

Kristian Milsap, Enterprise RB: Kristian Milsap rushed for 155 yards and a touchdown to lead Enterprise to a 48-0 win over Puckett.

Hunter Jones, Amory QB: Senior quarterback Hunter Jones threw for 226 yards and three touchdowns in Amory’s 31-13 win over Belmont. Jones, who barely played in the second half, surpassed 10,000 yards of career offense in the win.
