Jonathan Vaughn, Meridian RB: Vaughn had seven carries for 180 yards and four touchdowns in a 53-34 win over Petal.
Courtland Harris, Oak Grove RB: Courtland Harris had 20 carries for 125 yards and a touchdown in Oak Grove’s 37-20 win over Petal. –GAME STORY
Caleb Miller, Clinton QB: Clinton QB Caleb Miller was excellent on Friday night. He tossed two touchdown passes in the first half, and used his legs to convert several key first downs in the second half that helped kill the clock in Clinton’s 24-21 upset of South Panola. Miller completed eight of his 14 pass attempts for 113 yards and carried the ball 13 times for 73 yards. –GAME STORY
Justin Walley, D'Iberville RB: Walley carried the ball 14 times for 249 yards and two scores in D’Iberville’s 27-24 win over Ocean Springs. –GAME STORY
MJ Daniels, George County QB: Daniels scored in almost every way imaginable on Friday night. He threw for a touchdown, returned an interception for a TD and returned a punt for a score in George County’s 28-10 win over Brandon.
Jarquez Hunter, Neshoba Central RB: Jarquez Hunter scored three touchdowns in Neshoba Central’s 34-6 win over Vicksburg, giving him 91 career TDs. –GAME STORY
Luke Altmyer, Starkville QB: Florida State commit Luke Altmyer tossed five touchdowns and broke the school record for passing yards in a game as top-ranked Starkville ran past Germantown in a key Region 2-6A matchup. –GAME STORY + PHOTOS
Antonio Sanford, Pascagoula DB: Sanford had four interceptions — including two pick-sixes — and a fumble recovery in Pascagoula’s 44-20 win over Hattiesburg.
Christian Turner, Harrison Central QB: Turner threw for 206 yards and three TDs and added a rushing touchdown in Harrison Central’s 42-14 win over Biloxi.
Carmello Simpson, Bay RB: Simpson rushed for four touchdowns to lead Bay to a 45-43 win over Pass Christian.
Dorian Robinson, Picayune RB: Robinson had 29 carries for 130 yards and scored the game-winning touchdown in Picayune’s 47-43 win over Gautier.
