Texas power DeSoto to kick off 2024 high school football season vs. Georgia power Creekside

The primetime matchups for the 2024 high school football season just keep rolling in - and another one has been confirmed.
Texas (UIL) Class 6A Division II state champion DeSoto will open the 2024 season at home against Georgia’s Class 5A state finalist Creekside on Aug. 31.
The Eagles finished the 2023 season undefeated at 16-0 and ended it with a dominating performance against Summer Creek, winning 74-14.
Creekside has shown no signs of shying away from playing the nation’s top programs, with the Seminoles going on the road last year and facing SBLive Sports/Sports Illustrated’s national champion Mater Dei, 62-0.
The Seminoles ended the 2023 season losing to Coffee, 31-14, in the Class 5A state championship game.
