Photos: Belleville East beats Granite City for fifth win

Lancers score 34 points in the first quarter and roll in big victory

The Belleville East football team closed out the regular season on a strong note.

After a rough one-point loss against Edwardsville in Week 7, the Lancers bounced back with a big win over rival Belleville West and on Friday night dominated visiting Granite City from start to finish in a 66-0 triumph.

The Lancers (5-4) closed out the regular season by outscoring West and Granite City by a combined score of 107-0.

Belleville East scored five times in the first quarter against the Warriors (1-8), including a fumble recovery return and an interception return.
