Karner, who committed to Purdue on March 7 but then decommitted from the Boilermakers on April 13, gained significant momentum on the recruiting trail last month.

He added scholarship offers from Auburn, Illinois, Louisville, Iowa and Florida after his decommitment, which came after he received offers from Alabama, South Carolina and Arkansas earlier in the month.

Karner caught 12 passes for 196 yards and three touchdowns as a junior as IC Catholic Prep went 13-1 and won the Illinois Class 3A championship. He had eight catches for 128 yards and four scores as a sophomore.
