1. West Des Moines Dowling (8-1) beat Waukee 43-7 (regular season)

Maroons open 5-A first round vs. Davenport West (7-2) at Williams Stadium in Des Moines. 

2. Ankeny (8-1) beat Des Moines Lincoln 54-6 (regular season)

Hawks host Sioux City East (7-2) in their 5-A playoff opener.

3. Southeast Polk (8-1) beat Cedar Rapids Jefferson 63-7 (regular season)

Rams host Ames (6-3) in the first round of the 5-A playoffs.

4. Pleasant Valley (9-0) beat Iowa City West 35-14 (regular season)

Spartans host West Des Moines Valley (5-4) in the 5-A first round.

5. Cedar Rapids Xavier (9-0) beat Oskaloosa 52-6 (regular season)

Saints open 4-A playoff action at home against Cedar Rapids Washington (5-4). Xavier won their regular-season meeting 38-0.

6. Waverly-Shell Rock (9-0) beat Decorah 32-13 (regular season)

Go-Hawks host Fort Madison (7-2) in first round of the 4-A postseason.

7. Council Bluffs Lewis Central (9-0) beat Winterset 42-15 (regular season)

Titans begin their 4-A playoff journey at home against Le Mars (6-3).

8. Harlan Community (8-1) beat Knoxville 49-0 (regular season)

Cyclones open 3-A playoffs at home against MOC-Floyd Valley (6-3).

9. Central Lyon/George-Little Rock (9-0) beat Iowa Falls-Alden 57-0 (Class 2-A first round)

Lions advance to host Clarinda (6-3), which eliminated Roland-Story 56-27.

10. Williamsburg (9-0) beat Camanche 42-0 (Class 2-A first round)

Raiders move on to host Mid-Prairie (6-3), which edged Northeast 7-6 in its playoff opener. Williamsburg beat Mid-Prairie 56-7 on Sept. 30.

11. Mount Vernon (9-0) beat Vinton-Shellsburg 55-6 (regular season)

Mustangs open 3-A playoff action at home against Central DeWitt (6-3). Mount Vernon won 47-0 on Oct. 14.

12. Spirit Lake (9-0) beat Sheldon 35-7 (Class 2-A first round)

Indians advance to round of 16 to host Clear Lake (5-4), which nipped PCM 28-27.

13. Iowa City Liberty (8-1) beat Clinton 42-7 (regular season)

Lightning host dangerous Webster City (6-3) in first round of the 4-A playoffs.

14. Carlisle (8-1) beat Perry by forfeit

Rested Wildcats open 4-A playoffs at home against Newton (7-2).

15. North Scott (7-2) beat Mount Pleasant 49-10 (regular season)

Lancers will host Western Dubuque (6-3) in first round of the 4-A playoffs. North Scott won 45-7 in Week 2.

16. Cedar Falls (7-2) beat Dubuque Senior 24-14 (regular season)

Tigers will host rugged Ankeny Centennial (5-4) in first round of 5-A playoffs. Centennial beat Cedar Falls 28-14 on Sept. 16.

17. West Branch (9-0) beat South Hardin 42-0 (Class 1-A first round)

Bears will host Waterloo Columbus (6-3) round of 16 of Class 1-A playoffs. West Branch won 34-13 in Week 2.

18. Linn-Mar (6-3) beat Cedar Rapids Prairie 28-13 (regular season)

Linn-Mar’s reward for beating Prairie (6-3) is going right back to Prairie for the first round of the playoffs.

19. Underwood (9-0) beat Interstate 35 49-17 (Class 1-A first round)

Eagles advance to the round of 16 to host ACGC (7-2), which beat Treynor 34-29.

20. West Hancock (9-0) beat Nashua-Plainfield 44-16 (Class A first round)

Eagles move on to round of 16 to host Wapsie Valley (7-2), which beat Saint Ansgar 35-0.

21. Western Dubuque (6-3) beat Mason City 36-26 (regular season)

Bobcats will travel to North Scott for their first-round Class 4-A playoff game, where they hope to avenge their 45-7 regular-season setback.

22. West Des Moines Valley (5-4) beat Des Moines Roosevelt 54-29 (regular season)

Tigers won their way into the 5-A playoffs and will play at Pleasant Valley (9-0).

23. Van Meter (8-1) beat Pleasantville 49-0 (Class 1-A first round)

Bulldogs advance to round of 16 to host Woodward-Granger, which eliminated West Central Valley 34-3.

24. Waukee Northwest (5-4) beat Urbandale 20-7 (regular season)

The victory sends the Wolves to the 5-A playoffs at Cedar Rapids Kennedy (7-2).

25. Ankeny Centennial (5-4) beat Des Moines East 56-0 (regular season)

Jaguars advance to the 5-A playoffs and travel to Cedar Falls (7-2), a team they beat by 14 in September.
