Here are some stars from last week’s high school baseball games across Iowa.

James Fingalson, Mason City

Fingalson picked up a pitching win in the first game of a doubleheader against Marshalltown. Then, in the second game, he hit a triple and home run, driving in two and scoring three times.

Drew Fogarty, Algona Garrigan

Fogarty pitched a no-hitter, striking out 10, in the Golden Bears’ 20-0 rout of Lake Mills in four innings. Garrigan scored 13 runs in the first inning.

Joey Oakie, Ankeny Centennial

The junior tossed a one-hitter, striking out 14 as the unbeaten, and Class 4A second-ranked Jaguars, topped No. 1 West Des Moines Dowling 6-1. Oakie allowed only a single and walked three.

Kade Knock, Cedar Rapids Prairie

The senior centerfielder went a combined 7-for-8 with three RBIs and six runs scored in the undefeated Hawks’ doubleheader sweep of Dubuque Senior. Knock is the leading hitter in Class 4A with a .562 average.

Matthew Stoltenberg, Cedar Rapids Kennedy

The junior shortstop had a double and homer, driving in two runs, in an 18-1 win over Marshalltown. Stoltenberg then tripled homered and knocked in three as the Cougars beat Class 3A No. 1 Western Dubuque in the first game of a doubleheader.

Clayten Lindecker, Western Dubuque

The junior struck out 11 in a five-inning 14-1 victory over Independence for the top-ranked team in Class 3A. Lindecker allowed three hits and walked two.

Luke Woltmann, Lewis Central

The junior first baseman drove in seven runs in a doubleheader sweep of Red Oak. Woltmann was a combined 4-for-8 with three doubles.

Preston Lang, Cedar Rapids Xavier

The junior catcher was 3-for-4 with a double and triple as the Saints blanked Solon 8-0. Teammate Caleb Even hit a three-run homer.

Hunter Cook, North Polk

The junior pitched a one-hit shutout in a 10-0 victory over Independence. Cook struck out 11 and did not walk a batter, allowing only a single.

Lucas Moore, Boone

The sophomore centerfielder was 3-for-4 with a triple, homer and three RBIs in the Toreadors’ 8-2 victory over Winterset. Boone is ranked eighth in Class 3A.

Nikolai Wede, MOC-Floyd Valley

The senior shortstop drove in six runs as the Dutchmen raced to a 19-1 win over Sibley-Ocheyedan. Wede cracked a grand slam homer and drove in two more with a single.

Tyler Welch, Davenport Assumption

The senior threw a complete-game shutout, striking out 11 as the Knights beat Central DeWitt 1-0 in the first game of a doubleheader. Welch allowed only one hit while Jackson Wohlers provided the only run with a solo homer.

Colin Miller, Mid-Prairie

The Class 2A top-ranked Golden Hawks swept Tipton in a doubleheader. In the second game, a 3-1 win, Miller struck out 12 and scattered four hits while walking one.

Logan Sibenaller, Carroll Kuemper

The senior picked up the pitching win and was 2-for-3 at the plate with a double in a 3-2 win over Underwood. Sibenaller struck out nine in the complete-game effort.

Sam Rich, Williamsburg

The senior was a combined 5-for-8 with a double and three RBIs in a doubleheader sweep of PCM. Rich was also the winning pitcher in the second game,

Cael Miller, Estherville-Lincoln Central

In four at-bats against Cherokee, the junior shortstop cracked three doubles and drove in two. The Midgets outscored Cherokee 9-6.

Jack Vanfossaan, Underwood

The junior pitched a one-hitter, striking out eight, as the Eagles handed AHSTW its first loss of the season, 4-1.

D.J. Ridout, West Marshall

The sophomore outfielder had a combined seven RBIs in a doubleheader win over Gladbrook-Reinbeck. Ridout homered and drove in five in the second game, won by the Trojans, 14-4.

Max Burt, Mason City Newman

The senior homered twice and drove in four runs, leading the Knights to a 9-3 victory over West Fork. Burt leads the state with six homers.

Mason Bechen, North Linn

The sophomore shortstop combined for three hits and six RBIs as the Lynx swept Springville. Bechen had a triple, homer and four RBIs in the second game.

Boston Doeschot, Kingsley-Pierson

The senior second baseman collected three hits and drove in three runs as unbeaten and fourth-ranked (Class 1A) K-P knocked off top-ranked Remsen St. Mary’s 7-4.

Luke Czarnecki, Lisbon

The senior outfielder combined for a double, two triples, a homer and four RBIs as Lisbon demolished North Cedar in a doubleheader. The Lions won the two games 20-0 and 29-0.

Lannon Montgomery, Lynnville-Sully

The sophomore third baseman had four hits and drove in five for the unbeaten Hawks in a 14-1 win over HLV. One night earlier, Montgomery collected three hits and knocked in two against Montezuma.

Spencer Brent, Burlington Notre Dame

The junior second baseman had three hits, three runs scored, three RBIs and two stolen bases in a 12-1 win over Danville.

Cal Heydon, Coon Rapids-Bayard

The freshman fell a home run short of the cycle with a single, double and triple in four at-bats as the Crusaders stayed unbeaten with a 6-2 win over Audubon.
