Cedar Rapids Xavier softball player Braylen Conlon voted Iowa high school athlete of the week (May 28-June 3)

Conlon edged Xavier baseball player Preston Lang for the honor

 Cedar Rapids Xavier softball player Braylen Conlon was voted SBLive Iowa High School Athlete of the Week honors for May 28-June 3. 

Conlon nabbed 6,860 votes (42.73%) to edge Xavier baseball player Preston Lang, who accumulated 4,723 votes (29.42%). Louisa-Muscatine senior softball player McKenzie Kissell was third with 2,800 votes (17.44%). More than 16,000 votes were cast last week. 

Conlon, a sophomore, accumulated a single, two doubles and two RBIs in a 7-2 win over Decorah. Conlon hit an RBI triple the next night as the Saints topped Benton 8-2.
