BGM quarterback Beau Burns was voted SBLive Iowa High School Athlete of the Week for Aug. 21-27. Burns accumulated 1,337 votes (76.84%). 

Ballard senior QB Eli Rouse took second with 310 votes (17.82%).

Burns completed 10 of 11 passes for 203 yards and five touchdowns and carried four times for 188 yards and three scores as the Bears rang up 96 points on Meskwaki Settlement in an 8-player contest.
