There is a new No. 1 in the latest High School on SI Iowa High School Football Top 25 after a wild week of action on the gridiron.

Previous No. 1 West Des Moines Valley fell to Waukee Northwest, opening the door for Iowa City Liberty to climb into the top spot. The Lightning avenged a Class 5A state semifinal loss to Southeast Polk this past week with a 38-20 victory.

The High School on SI Iowa Top 25 includes all 11-player teams from Class A up to 5A.
