Parkway baseball player Colton Smith is the Louisiana High School Athlete of the Week (April 17-23)

Smith tosses a gem to help Panthers advance in the state playoffs

With his team needing one more win to advance in the playoffs, Colton Smith did his part.

Smith, a junior pitcher for Parkway High in Bossier City, threw a complete-game four-hitter, allowing one run and striking out five as the Panthers clinched their opening-round Division I non-select playoff series with a 2-1 win against Chalmette on April 22. 

For his efforts, Smith was voted the SBLive Louisiana Athlete of the Week covering April 17-23.
