Franklin senior Jay'Shaun Johnson voted SBLive's Louisiana High School Athlete of the Week

Johnson ends his team's regular season on a high note

Franklin Senior High's Hornets went into the playoffs on a high note, thanks to the play of one of their standouts. 

Jay'Shaun Johnson, a senior, accumulated 276 yards and five touchdowns in a 44-43 win against Ascension Episcopal that helped the Hornets land a No. 16 seed and a first-round playoff game at home. Franklin won that first-round playoff, beating Grand Lake, 46-13.

Recruited as a defensive back, Johnson recently de-committed from UTSA and is keeping his options open in regards to choosing a college.

For his efforts, Johnson was voted the SBLive Louisiana High School Athlete of the Week for Oct. 30-Nov. 5.
